Fleece that goes under a coat

Pull this on under a work jacket or a parka and you will not hear it: the face is soft fleece, the collar stands up around the neck panel, and the body is slim enough not to bunch under a shell. Nine carbon-fiber panels sit at the neck, the chest, the middle and lower back, and around the two zippered pockets.

One button runs it, and it works with gloves on. The 10,000 mAh bank in the box sits in an inner pocket with an LED display for what is left. We do not rate this vest for hours. If you plan a day around the battery, the puffer is rated at up to 10.

Fleece heated vest from the Soleilwear collection.

How the heat works

9 carbon-fiber heating elements: neck, chest, mid-back, lower back, and around and above the two zippered hand pockets.

Turn it on. Hold the logo on the left chest for 3 seconds; it is the switch.
Set the heat. The same button sets Low, Medium or High.
Turn it off. Hold the button for 3 seconds again; it works with gloves on.

Setting	Panel temperature
Low	104°F (40°C)
Medium	122°F (50°C)
High	140°F (60°C)

This one has no runtime rating, only the three temperatures.

The power bank

The Soleilwear Men's Fleece Heated Vest ships with a 10,000 mAh 5V bank in an inner pocket, with two USB ports, so it can top up a phone while it runs the heat.

Flying: power banks travel in your carry-on, never in a checked bag. The heating guide shows how to read the watt hours.

This is general information about heated clothing and its power banks, not medical or travel-safety advice for your situation. The manual in the box is the final word on your garment, airline battery rules can change, and if the heat ever feels too hot, turn it down or switch it off.

What the travel rules say

FAA PackSafe: Lithium Batteries. Spare lithium batteries, power banks included, travel in carry-on bags only, and a power bank taken off a bag checked at the gate stays with you in the cabin. A rechargeable battery may be rated up to 100 watt hours; with airline approval a passenger may carry up to two spares of 101 to 160 Wh. Watt hours are volts multiplied by amp hours, and the terminals must be protected from short circuit. Read October 1, 2026.
TSA: What Can I Bring? Power Banks. Carry-on bags: yes. Checked bags: no. Portable chargers or power banks containing a lithium-ion battery must be packed in carry-on bags. Read October 1, 2026.
