What the graphene jacket does differently
Our jacket heats through six graphene panels instead of carbon-fiber wires: on the men's coat they sit at the abdomen, the upper arms, the back and the neck. It runs on a 7.4V 16,000 mAh battery pack, larger than the vest bank, and we rate the men's coat setting by setting: 12 on Low (104°F), 8 on Medium (122°F) and 6 on High (140°F).
The shell is windproof and water-resistant, the insulation is light enough to layer over a hoodie, and the hood comes off on the women's coat. Take the battery out and the jacket goes in the washing machine. The men's coat also charges faster on a USB-C PD charger, about a fifth quicker by our figures.
