Two men's vests, one heating layout. The puffer is the one for a windy morning; the fleece is the one that goes under a winter coat.

Both men's vests carry nine carbon-fiber heating panels: at the back of the neck, across the middle of the back, on each side of the lower back, and around and above the two zippered hand pockets. That last group is the one people notice first, because cold hands go into those pockets. Heat is set from the chest logo, which is also the switch: hold it for three seconds and the vest comes on, and the same button sets Low at 104°F, Medium at 122°F or High at 140°F.

The difference is the fabric. The lightweight vest is a quilted puffer with a nylon-polyester shell that repels light rain and blocks wind, and it is the one with a published runtime: up to 10 hours on its 10,000 mAh bank. The fleece vest has a soft face and a stand-up collar around the neck panel, and it layers under a shell without bulk. Both run S to 3XL, and the size chart for the puffer is printed in inches on its page.

Yes, and the fleece is made for it: soft, quiet and slim enough to go under a coat. The puffer works as the outer layer too.

The puffer: up to 10 hours on its 10,000 mAh bank. We publish no runtime for the fleece.
